01 · Who provides

Seven groups of verified providers, each signed on by where it works.

Any provider can join with an Oxi account. Each states the categories it offers, the local government areas or routes it serves, its capacity and temperature range, its prices and its schedule. Oxi staff verify every provider before it is offered.

Last mile

From head porters, wheelbarrows and bicycles to motorbikes, kekes, cars, vans and pickups, signed on by the LGAs they serve.

Storage

Dry rooms, warehouses, produce stores, silos, cool rooms, chillers, freezers and pack houses, each described with its temperatures, capacity and services.

Interstate

Cars, park-to-park buses, vans, trucks, trailers, reefers, tankers, rail and waterways, with their routes, volumes and departures.

Air cargo

Airlines with their routes, flight schedules, cut-offs, capacity and perishable handling.

Port and customs

Clearing and forwarding agents and cargo terminals for export and import.

Packing and handling

Pack houses, palletising, cold-chain and export packers, packaging suppliers and loading crews.

Logistics coordinators

Independent planners appointed by a buyer, seller, farm or trader to plan and run their shipments.

02 · Packing

The receiver approves the packing before anything moves.

  1. 01Specify

The shipper says how the goods will be packed and the receiver says how they must arrive. Where the receiver asks for more, a packing step is added and paid by the buyer or the shipper, as they agree.

  2. 02Photograph

Once packed, the shipper or packer photographs the packs, a sample, the labels and the count in the OxiShip app, stamped with time and place.

  3. 03Approve

The receiver accepts or declines, within 24 hours unless the contract says otherwise. The acceptance is the proof of packing for the whole journey.

  4. 04Or decline

Nothing ships. The shipper repacks and sends new photos, or the trade is cancelled and every payment is returned.

03 · How a shipment is built

From one order to a priced, timed route.

  1. 01Locate

The origin is geomapped from the farm, store or pinned point; the destination is chosen as coordinates. Both resolve to a state and LGA, or a district in Ghana.

  2. 02Plan the legs

The trip is split where custody changes. A storage stop is added where the goods would wait longer than the buyer or shipper allows, and a packing step where the packing needs it.

  3. 03Match and time

Each leg is offered to providers that serve it, with the capacity, temperature range and packing format it needs, and timed against their schedules.

  4. 04Book or quote

Providers on instant booking are priced from their listed rates; the others are asked to quote. Unanswered legs go to the next providers.

  5. 05Choose

The trading parties see the options with each leg, provider, departure, arrival and price. Under door-to-door terms both buyer and seller approve the route.

04 · Custody

Every hand-over is closed by the party receiving the goods.

Scan and code

The receiving party scans the hand-over barcode, checks the packs against the approved photos, and generates the completion code that closes the hand-over.

Departure and arrival

Each hand-over sets the actual departure of the next leg and updates the estimated arrival for everyone still to act.

Conditions logged

Cold loads log temperature at every hand-over and while in custody, entered by the provider until connected sensors are deployed.

Traced to a leg

Damage, shortage or a temperature breach is traced to the leg in custody, so only that leg is held.

05 · Payment

Shipping is paid through escrow, like the goods.

Nobody pays a provider directly. The shipping charge is paid into escrow through Oxi Pay together with the goods and released as the receiving party closes each hand-over and the buyer confirms delivery.

  • Paid where they choose. To the provider's Oxi Pay account or the bank account it added on the platform.
  • Disputes. Raised inside the dispute window against the hand-over record; only the disputed leg is held.
  • Logistics coordinators. Their fee is shown to the client before approval and paid through escrow with the shipment.

06 · Where it stands

Being built in the open, providers first.

  • First. Provider sign-up for all seven groups, storage facilities, price cards, schedules and the shared packing library, with Oxi verification.
  • Next. Shipment requests, route building, quotes, packing approval, hand-over codes and live tracking, then escrow payouts through Oxi Pay.
