These terms apply when you use the Oxi platform: oxi-group.com, Oxi Market, OxiSeller, Oxi shops, OxiAgro, Oxi Dispatch and OxiRider, Membergate, OxiAi and the Oxi sign-in service at id.oxi-group.com. The platform is run by Oxi Group Limited, Lagos, Nigeria ("Oxi", "we"). By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Your Oxi account
- You must be 18 or over and able to enter into a binding contract.
- One Oxi account works on every Oxi site. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your phone or email, or with Google.
- Keep your sign-in codes private. Oxi will never ask you for a code. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- The information you give us must be true and kept up to date.
Verification
Anyone signed in can look around. To trade, post, message other parties or move money, you must pass Oxi's identity check (Oxi Verified). Some activities need further checks, such as farm inspection or agency certification. We may refuse, limit, downgrade or remove a verification where the information does not hold up.
How the marketplace works
- Oxi provides the platform where buyers, sellers, farmers, carriers and service providers meet and transact. Unless we say otherwise for a specific service, Oxi is not the buyer or seller, and the contract for goods or services is between the parties.
- Sellers are responsible for their listings, for the goods and services they offer, and for meeting the law that applies to them.
- Everyone trades under a nickname by default. Do not use the platform to move a deal outside Oxi in order to avoid fees or protections.
Fees and payments
- Fees are shown on the platform before you commit to a transaction. Promotional free periods apply only as stated.
- Payments, escrow and payouts run through Oxi-Pay and our licensed payment and banking partners. Oxi's fees are deducted at the time of payment.
- Where escrow is used, funds are released according to the milestones the parties agreed on the platform.
Deliveries
Deliveries booked through Oxi Dispatch or OxiRider are carried out by independent carriers and riders who have joined the platform. Handovers are confirmed by scanning the delivery code.
What you must not do
- Break the law, or sell goods or services that are illegal, counterfeit, stolen or unsafe.
- Mislead, defraud or harass anyone, or pretend to be someone else.
- Interfere with the platform, try to get around its security, or collect other users' information.
- Use another person's account, or share your sign-in codes.
Disputes between users
If something goes wrong with an order or contract, raise it on the platform. We will help the parties resolve it and may decide how escrowed funds are released, based on the evidence provided. This does not affect any legal rights you have.
Suspension and closing accounts
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other users at risk, or where the law requires it. You can close your account at any time, subject to finishing any open transactions.
Our content
The Oxi platform, its software, names and logos belong to Oxi Group Limited and its licensors. You keep ownership of what you upload, and you allow Oxi to display and process it to run the platform.
Liability
We work to keep the platform available and accurate, but it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, Oxi is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts of other users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will post changes on this page and update the date above, and tell you on the platform before a significant change applies.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
